Clos Mares wines come from California’s Central Coast in Monterey County. The cool Pacific Ocean winds make the northern part of the valley perfect for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
We wanted to make amazing wines that were balanced, flavorful, and complex. This area provided warm sun, cool fog, and ancient soils which are all components of making world-class wine.
